Nothing says summer like a luau, and Manning Hausbarn-Heritage Park is pulling out all stops to bring island fun for the whole family to the park on Thursday, June 20. Everyone is invited to break out their grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts for a chance at the best-dressed prize and join them at 5:30 p.m. for a whole pig roast, sides and rum punch while it lasts. There will be live music from Blake Lubinus of Des Moines, a bags tournament and limbo. Kids will be able to enter for free, but there is a cover charge of $5 for adults. Registration for the bags tournament will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the first toss taking place at 6 p.m. The Roten Bar in the Konferenz Centre will be open as well.
