City Park

   

The City Park is a public park that offers play equipment, tennis courts, soccer fields, and a baseball diamond.  New toddler playground equipment was added in 2009 to better serve the 2 to 5 year old age groups.  A new four-seasons shelter house was completed in the fall of 2008.  To rent the new City Park Shelter House please complete the attached Rental Agreement and return to City Hall @ 717 3rd St., Manning, IA  51455.  Call 655-3861 or e-mail manningrec@mmctsu.com for details.

Great Western Park

          Shelter House

          The Great Western Park, located on the south western edge of Manning, is run by the Carroll County Conservation board.  The original pond was recently restored and the whole park is continually being developed.  There is a shelter house, a playground, a shooting range, trails, and camper parking with water and electrical hook-ups.  The 12 acre, 14 ft. deep pond is equipped with a boat ramp.  For shelter park rentals, please contact the Carroll County Conservation Office @ 712-792-4614.

Manning Heritage Park

         Hausbarn

          The Manning Heritage Park has an authentic 1660 German Hausbarn from Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.  Also located near the Heritage Park is the Leet-Hassler farm site which is on the National Registry of Historic Places.  TheKonferenz Centre can be rented for events.  Please see that attached rental agreement.  MHF Rental Agreement   Call 712-655-3131 for rental and tour information.  The newest edition of the Heritage Park is the Trinity Church, a 96-year-old structure that was brought from Lincoln Township South of Manning.  Check out this Website for details about the Manning Heritage Park:  German Hausbarn
