$100 Per Space effective July 1, 2008
$150 Per Space effective July 1, 2009
$200 Per Space effective July 1, 2010

Perpetual Care
"Perpetual Care" (to be supplied by the City) means and includes seeding & reseeding (when necessary) of plots and grave surfaces, cultivation as may be necessary in connection with seeding & reseeding, watering, seasonal cutting of grass and weeds, keeping plots in neat condition and good appearance, and such other cemetery work as may be authorized by the City Council.
"Perpetual Care" (to be supplied by the City) shall not include the care, maintenance, upkeep, repair or replacement of any marker or vase which has been placed, or may in the future be placed, in the cemetery regardless of whether such placing has the City approval or not. (Manning Code, Sec. 100.07)
Burials
All burials will follow the requirements for vaults or other containers as provided within the Code of Iowa. Only one set of remains shall be placed on any lot.
When a gravesite is required to be prepared, a minimum of two regular working days notice shall be given to the City prior to the time set for the burial. Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory or declared holidays shall not be classified as regular working days.
COSTS FOR GRAVE OPENINGS:
Adult: $350.00 Youth/Cremation: $175.00
The rates for cemetery services are established by resolution of the City Council and are subject to change without notice.
Markers
Vertical markers may be placed on any lot in any section of the cemetery with the exception of Section 8, the memorial section. In Sections 5, 6, 7, and 9, the family marker must be placed in line with other vertical markers while footstones shall be flat markers mounted on a base set flush with the ground. Only one vertical marker may be placed on any lot. In Section 8 all markers shall be flat markers mounted on a base set flush with the ground. Separate vases of suitable metal construction are permitted when embedded in a concrete foundation such that the vase is recessed flush with the ground.
Flowers and Decorations
No person shall place any flowers or other decorations on any plot in the cemetery during the period from May 10 through May 14, and again from August 10 to August 14. The City is not responsible for any flowers or decorations placed on any grave during these time periods.
Individual plantings of shrubs, trees, flowers, etc. on cemetery grounds is prohibited.
Flags are permitted on burial sites three days before and three days after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day.
Pets are not permited on cemetery grounds.
Cemetery is not responsible for lost articles or flowers left on burial sites.
