Debi Durham, Director Iowa Economic Development Authority: "In my visits to Manning, I have experienced its vibrancy - it is indeed a very special place. Their engaged citizenry unites around a common vision, and because of the commitment of both the public and the private sectors, that vision can be realized." and "Through Manning's sustained efforts and constant work to partner....The community certainly sets an example for others to follow.
Bill Menner, USDA Rural Development State Director in Iowa: "There has always been something special about Manning and its residents. Several years ago, I chaired the Iowa Great Places Commission and was astonished at the vision of the community's leaders."
